Majorly cool video!! Thanks so much. Right now, one of my grandpickney is working on her Social Studies project for school. She chose "The History of Jamaica". The teacher asked her why she chose that topic and she responded. Because my Nana goes there a lot and I wanted to learn more about it. Gotta love this kid!!!
She came down to use my printer and I ended up learning so much more about Jamaica. That footage would be an awesome part of her project...if I were majorly tech savvy...which I am not. LOL But, next time she is here..gonna show this to her. Much respect!

wow poolguy, where did you find this? any clue about the reference to the bogue islands where oysters grow on trees?
Fantastic video! I noticed that the island didn't seem very lush and not just because it lacks color so I did a search on hurricans and this is what I found.
November 1912, The most notable storm of the season was also the last. It was a Category 3 hurricane that moved very slowly across the island of Jamaica. It had formed in November north of Panama and strengthened slowly. It crawled up to Jamaica with sustained winds of 115 mph (185 km/h) and moved slowly across the island. 100 people were killed from flooding and heavy rainfall.
Too bad the rail isn't still running, would be a fun trip across the island.
I was just guessing the the ackee trees might be what looked like oysters growing on tree,s?
