    Hump Day....

    Greetings everyone!

Today is what is known as 'hump day' ... as many of you probably already know, it's because Wednesday is the day in the middle of the week... so if you can get thru today, then you will be able to make it thru the week

It's raining now in Negril... came down HARD about 20 minutes ago.... starting to lighten up now and I see the sun trying hard to peak out from behind the clouds.... but the rain drops keep on falling... on my head... but that's not because.... ha ha ha...

    ENJOY THE MOMENT!

The toughest part of the week is dragging my sorry butt out of bed on Monday and getting to work by 7:30!!! After that - as of 7:31 on Monday - it's almost Friday! The toughest part is over, and it's all downhill to the week end! Try it. It works! it sure makes the office smile!

Everybody's workin' for the week end! Keep it positive and I cannot wait to get to St A's Feb 4th! Bringing a tribe who are itching to help!

We missed the Donkey Races last year, but I remember the skuttebutt about The Kitchen that the indomitable Miss Pearl sells her fried chicken at the Donkey Races. Is this true? Cause I am soooo lining up early for that treat! I have never had her fried chicken but have been treated to the aroma while working at breakfast when that was for lunch --- OMG! A little sniff of heaven!

    Good afternoon M&G Montreal!

True, true... once you're out of bed on a Monday morning, the week gets easier and easier I still prefer the Hump Day ting.... lol.... for me if Wednesday is done, the weekend is closer!

Great to hear you're coming back next February! And also great to hear you are bringing a 'tribe' of people who want to help out at the Kitchen!

I'm not sure if Miss Pearl is selling fried chicken at the Donkey Races, but we should know more closer to the time. I do agree, her cooking is the best, so most say Personally I haven't tried the fried chicken, but do hear many rave about it!

    Blessings!

    Re: Hump Day....

Monday is fried chicken day at the Kitchen. I stop in each Monday morning about 9:30 or 10 to check out the chicken...you know, make sure it is suitable to serve. I can't speak for the rest of the chicken but the legs are perfect! We serve up the best food of any soup kitchen in the Western Hemisphere. As for Ms. Pearl selling her chicken at the Donkey Races...I don't think so. She does prepare dinners for all the volunteer workers. You want a chicken dinner...volunteer to work at the Donkey Races. I head up the split-the-pot (or 50/50 as some call it) and am always looking for workers. And thanks to booger for the hump day video...it's a hoot! --Fadder Jim
