Air Fares

I am so thankful that I booked us over a month ago (from Toronto to MBJ) to travel in January.
Watched a TV news item recently on air fares going up now because of high demand. They say economy is getting better.
My airline sent an e-mail today saying the flight will now leave an hour and 15 minutes later than booked so I decided to check the on line price of that flight today.
Guess what, the return fare for two that I booked is now up by over 500 dollars! 1790 vs the 1260 I paid.
Demand = $$$

I just checked my dates on west jet from YYZ to Montego bay. For all you americans YYZ is Torontos airport code made famous as the title of a Rush song. Thursday nov 28th to sunday dec 8th. Thats my target, still waiting for wifes vacation approval. The price for 4 of us was $2565. Could have saved $400 more by going home one day earlier on the 7th.

Striper. Flying from Toronto. Could have flown from Buffalo but no direct flights and smaller planes. I like the Air Canada 767 with two seat not three together.
