Good seeing the new sidewalks this will make walking down Norman Manley Blvd. more comfortable. Sad to say that with the frequent driving across the sidewalk the pressure will eventually crack the concrete on the sidewalks.

There is a substantial amount of re-bar being used to reinforce the concrete, more than I have seen being used on most driveways. And the vehicle traffic was taken into account during the design phase, so I dont think this will be much of an issue.

No way I'll be running along the sidewalk. When a Jamaican friend said how great it would be for me for my morning runs she was surprised when I said no way I'd run on that. Concrete is the worst surface for running. No give. I'll certainly use it when I walk to town or down the road on an errand or leisurely stroll. I'm out early enough for my runs that traffic isn't very busy. I've been fortunate to avoid injuries & plan to keep it that way, especially at my age, lol. I want to keep running as long as I can.

What's in a name? The Observerman...aka...Black Survivor...is Courtney to me. I buy my paper from him every day. Talk about working hard to make a living...Wow! Courtney is all over town...I mean all over the place...every day in the heat of the day from morning to night. Nice man, Courtney! --Fadder Jim
