1...running socks ... called '..BalEga.." ... made in SouthAfrica... do a google for more info
2...Ponciana tee-shirt::: a likkle *story*
one day while walking around Lucea-town,
i saw a lady
...i looked pon her face
ummmmmmmmmmmmmm
WHERE i know her from...???..
ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
she smiled
and said, "..How you doing blah blah raa raa.."
mi-SAY:::>> "..WHERE i know you from..??.."
"..From THERE.." as she pointed at my Poinciana tee-shirt
folks always asking me, how long i've been going to Jamaica
...i can't remember
:-(
remember::>> i'm old with a pea-brain, and a very feeble mind.
anyhoooooooooo.....
i DO remember that I started @ Poinciana
...in a time-share-arrangement
excited,
i asked the lady,
WHEN did they change the name to BeachesNegril/SandyBay etc...??..
around 1996 or 98-ish, she said
soooooooooooooooo
that means i've been fooling around in Jamaica since 'bout 1995-ish, or there-abouts
anyhooooooooooo.....
about that lady::::>> when i met her at the resort,
she worked in the gift shop
..at the time, 'twas *obvious* she was a new-employee
me being me,
all-ways got a kick out of *playing* with the staff members
once in a while, i'd eat in the resort's staff dining room, with the staff
they had good/better food in there
..at the time they had their own special cook/chef,
who prepared *real* Jamaican good
....food they didn't serve to the guests
.......the staff (back-then) didn't like the resort-for-guest food
anyhoooooooooooooooooo
i would give her ---the gift shop lady---- a hard time,
because she'd always be out of post card stamps
....i use to send out 100's of postcards to my photo-clients back in the States.
one day,
i saw some cute match books,
with the Poinciana logo pon dem
mi-SAY:::>> "..lemme have some matches, please.."
she-SAY::>> "..US $1.00 per book.."
:-(
i flipped
went beserk
she, was flustered,
being a new-employee,
not knowing what to do or say to the mad-tourist
i set her at ease,
that it was OK..... no biggie
..but i DID not pay for dem matches
later,
somehow(?)
i did get a book of matches
:-)
anyhoooooooooo...
'twas a treat seeing and chatting with her,
after all those many years.
interestingly::> she looked the same (almost),
aged in appearance, by about 3-years
dunno HOW/WHY Ja-folks don't seem to age,
like we foreigners do
.
.
3.....new green fishnet mariner tee-shirt --- cost 'bout Ja $200
4....new white mariners ---- cost Ja $100
question:::>> how come those white mariners cost so much up-yonder-here in good 'ole USofA ... i saw some the other day::::>> US $7.00 each
:-(
4....".liquid flatulence." ---- as most KNOW,
in Jamaica/Negril/etc,
it's a GOOD-idea to ALL-ways have some toilet tissue, in your pocket, purse, bag, whatever ....... just in case.
usually,
i follow this *rule*,
even when i go jogging.
this trip,
too-many times, i didn't follow the *rule*
2-3 times,
while jogging/running,
Nature called
...correction:::>> Nature SCREAM-ed
i had no paper
:-(
sooooooooooooo,
i scurried into the bushes,
look-ed around
and hope-ed & prayed that the big-leaf(s),
that i *used* wouldn't cause me any itch-ing or bump-ing problems
i've gotten pretty good,
at selecting a *proper* leaf,
and the use thereof,
in lieu of toilet tissue
anyhooooooooooooooooooooo
