Fadder JIMaica, my friend and i would like to volunteer and bring some supplies on Oct 4th.. do the school children eat lunch at the kitchen also? and yes, what time to help with breakfast?
kchristopher, by all means bring the kids--no problem mon! The cooks arrive around 5:30 a.m. to get things going an breakfast is starting move out the door around 6:00 a.m. Some of the kids have to leave really early--school starts at Green Island HS at 7:30 .m. the busiest breakfast time is from 7 to 8 a.m. Lunch is a possibility--busy time is 11:30 to 1:00.
Sonja, Oct 4 is a great day to visit--it's the feast day of St. Francis of Assisi, the founder of our Franciscan Order. Hopefully the kids will not be at lunch but in school. Smaller children, babies, will be around. Thursday is chicken foot soup day. Have you ever had chicken foot soup? Rondel Village donates soup every Thursday--thanks to Rondel Village.
Rickme, bring all the supplies you want. We love supplies--and thanks! --Fadder JIMaica
