18 sort of sleeps....I say sort of, cuz I can guarantee the last couple nights I will be too excited to zzzzzz..
1) Enjoy a cocktail while flying over and admiring those familiar, clear blue waters that tell you..."I am almost to my happy place".
2) Try a private airport transfer to negril for the first time, and get to stop by Bigga's
3) Enjoy watching the look on my "first-timer" gf's face as we are driving to Negril, as she soaks it all in.
4) Along the same lines as GerryG.....variety is the spice of life.....and its the best way to experience different types of the "irie" feeling we get when enjoying a FAT SUB SANDIE!!
5) Enjoy the accommodations and hospitality provided by the famous, Mr. Boombastic Jim Hurt and his great staff.
6) Plan on meeting lots of folks from on here bellying up to the Seasplash bar and having more than a few cocktails with you!
7) Wake up early and go for a mind clearing walk on the beach, before all the hustle gets going.
8) Decompress and adapt to "soon come" or Jamaica time. I am always running my arse off here at home. When in Jamaica I can finally relax and ask myself..."Guy, why are you in such a da*n hurry all the time". Da*n that Babylon!!
9) Try as many yard food and street food vendors as possible
10) Rent a "sumo" suit and sweep the bellyflop challenge.
11) Bring a front drum head for the bass drum at seastar inn and make it look nice for the webcasts. (the thing has had tape on it for over 2 years)
12) Take a day trip to Zimbali Retreat and check it out for future visits and hike up in the bush.
13) Learn as many cooking tips as I can from chefs cooking Ital style, and bring the ideas back to my fellow foodie friends here in the states.
14) Wed PUB CRAWL!!!
15) Recover from said pub crawl
16) Visit the country and western bar. (I love old, classic...we'll call it "roots" country)
17) Try Ivan's or one of the nice places on the cliffs for a romantic dinner
18) Come back home, recharged, laid back, with my head on straight......as most importantly at peace with where I am in my life and and where I am going.
