    That just doesn't seem right.

Donna just came home with a bottle of Ting she bought at a local international grocery where we get a lot of our Jamaican items. The label says it is made and bottled in Guatemala. That just doesn't seem right.

Make mine Appleton, or perhaps in this case a nice Zacapa.

Had a Ting in Antigua that was in a can. The print on the can said it was made with real caribbean grapefruit. Product of UK. Just didn't taste the same as the Ting in Jamaica. Not the same "ting" man! Also had to have a couple Red Stripes, they were from a beverage company in Belize. (similar stubby bottle and label).
D & G, or whoever owns them now, has a far reach.

When I get it in Philly, it is made in Canada! Guatemala is at least tropical.

Toban, it was Sun Foods in Brooklyn Center, MN. We get Ting there frequently but it has always been Jamaican. This is the first time we've seen the Guatemalan.

Depending on where they make it, it may have different sugar in it ... cane sugar in the Caribbean .... beet sugar in the North ... So it doesn't have that same consistent taste. I like the light molasses flavor that cane sugar imparts.
