Nice!! Matter of fact, I have seen 2...but they both were quite unusual. Truly...funny story though...
The first one was when we were at Sandals..many years ago, before we realized what fun was beyond the compound. We were sitting out by the "beach grill" having lunch. It was July 4th. Suddenly, we hear a band playing. I thought to myself, "how cool is this??" One of the workers that was near, stated that it was the July 4th parade from Hedo marching through the Sandals resort. OMG, here I am sitting down eating and this group of folks were parading nude with various body parts painted in Red, White and Blue. The vital areas being right at eye level I might add. It was truly hilarious and I have to admit that it was a great story to tell when I returned to work!! The best line was the dude that had his vital parts painted with all three colors....adding a new meaning to the term, "blue balls". LOL Behind the visitors from Hedo...was a fully dressed local band that keep the music going. Truly...I am not making this up!
The second was during the Marley B'day week pon da cliffs. It was a "junkanoo" parade with locals dressed in various costumes, along with a band. Again, this one was a once in a lifetime visual! Everyone was out on the streets and enjoying the entertainment...often joining in on the parade which ended at MXIII. I feel blessed to have experienced both.
Thanks for reminding me of just how wonderful parades are in Jamaica! I smiled as soon as I saw your post! Sorry that I don't have any pics...LOL
