There is a mountain of previous posts on this valid topic. I personally will be getting a complimentary phone from my airport transfer, Kingsley James at Take Care Tours. I have, however, rented in the past. I now understand that you can actually purchase a "throw away" phone for about $1,000 JA ($10.00 US) and that INCLUDES minutes. Its a valid option worth considering. Leave you pricy theft and damage prone phone at home and simply purchase (or rent). Not for everyone but definitely worth serious consideration.
