Once saw a horse on his (her) own few years ago; walking thru the drive through lane at Burger King. No owner/rider in sight

    don't matter

EVERY-body KNOWS where that horse (you saw) came from, and where it lives, etc etc etc.

We were there for 2 weeks over Thanksgiving and those guys were downright dangerous. We stayed at Coco La Palm and throughout the day the horses were racing back and forth close to beach chairs, children playing near the water, etc. Last trip in April they only came on the beach early morning and toward sunset and walked/ no galloping going on. Things have changed drastically. GET RID OF THEM! THEY ARE A MENACE!!!!!!!!

In the many trips I have made to Negril I am not sure if I have ever seen anyone other than a Jamaican on those horses. Not sure where they are making their money to make it worth it but it certainly isn't at the end of the beach that we stay at. Something certainly needs to be done if its getting bad like Mo was talking about in their post. I'm a pretty big guy at 6'3 350lbs and even I make sure to keep an eye out for those horses. For as much hassle as they appear to cause for the tourists, vendors and hotels up and down the beach you would think there would be enough attention to get something happening.

Not sure who said a toddler can watch his own back...not me....but if the toddler is gansta nuff he can with a little help from his wingmen:-) On a serious note, regulations on the activity and the operators of the horses makes much more sense than just to ban them. IF responsible people rode the horses up and down the beach looking for business away from the populated beach areas life would be good. I can totally see/witness the current criminal type of riding(in some cases) and it needs to stop. Heck I was almost taken out 4-5 years ago by someone at full gallop as I entered the beach. Just....ban the bad riders...not the horses and unicorns
There are unicorns? Even more magical a place than I had thought! Where are the unicorns?

I fully agree with what you are saying!. In my 30 years of riding and owning horses, I've yet to see one that aims for and tramples a tourist.
