In the year 2000, I met with the Director of the Centre of Marine Sciences at the Treehouse and we discussed this very topic. Particularly, how Negril's Long Beach has experienced an increase in erosion, especially the northern part of the beach ... something that was not evident before 1990 (based on a long-term study).
