I stayed in a HUMONGOUS villa owned by a brother and sister in Ironshores in Mobay. I just outright asked the wife, how in the hell did you get the money to build a place this big and her answer was that the husband worked on cruise ships and they saved up. Don't block someone else's blessing because of YOUR lobster thermador dreams.
Who is "blocking someone else's blessing"? I expressed that I was disappointed I had never eaten his lobster thermadore, is that not okay? Smh.

Tah no one was addressing you personally, I was replying to the thread as a whole. chill. My point is that many tourist do not want to see change in "their" Negril. They want all of their people in place just for them, BUT sometimes people have to move on, and rather than being upset with Susan, she may have propelled Teddy into the next chapter which will be better for him than working at the Castle. Shake your head all you like, it was not personally directed at you. I probably did not even read your posts in this thread.

Just like here at home. One never knows from day to day if you will have a job tomorrow.

Even more so in Jamaica. I have a girlfriend in Ochii who worked at a very nice store only to arrive at work one day to a sign on the door that the dance was all over and she never got her last check either.

Re: Sad time at The Castle

I have experienced job changes and job location changes that I thought was the veritable end of the world, only to find that God had relocated me to a much better circumstance than ever before. Let's hope that this will ring true for Teddy and Petrona. Sometimes he takes you out of your comfort zone to relocate you in a better place. As for her living arrangements, I have two friends in Negril who live on the property they work at. THEY HATE IT. They said that since guests know where their rooms are, they do not hesitate to knock or call on them any hour of the day or night. One works a night shift and must sleep during the day, but that is when guests are up and about making so much noise it is impossible to sleep. He yearns to be able to afford a place off property. Now Petrona will be able to leave the Castle and go home and have a private life, not always under the watchful eye of guests and having to behave a certain way. After she leaves the cocoon that butterfly might learn to be quite happy with the new arrangements, or at least that is what we should hope for her and Teddy.

Fuzzy is enjoying retirement. I had the chance to meet him during our last stay.

My understanding is that Petrona will still be working at BCC.
