It is difficult to find many who will even work for a day and not get paid for that day when it is done. Hotels and other businesses do have people who work and get paid weekly but, I believe, that is not the norm around Jamaica.
I think bitcoin sounds a little bit like a scam and I have read some articles where people have been taken. When (and if) it gets to a recognized standard for doing business like a Credit Card, businesses will embrace it.
Try taking a taxi and try to pay with a bitcoin.
