Cosmicmoose, I agree. We are on the East Coast in Charleston, SC and we have plenty of farm to table restaurants and they are awesome!

You should look into that further. There are some fruits/veggies that are better being "organic" (which is a bit of a misnomer itself), and some that really don't matter at all. You should also look into the contradictions involved in something being labeled organic, but that's not for this forum.
