    Mosquito advice?

We will be at Rockhouse for a few nights in a villa before moving down to the beach for the rest of our stay.
I have read that due to the open air outdoor showers in the Villas at Rockhouse there are sometimes mosquito problems in the rooms.
I am unclear if the toilet is outside (under roof though) or if it is inside the room with only the shower outside. (anyone know?)

But I don't worry about mosquitoes when we are out at night for dinner and such, but they are a problem for me when am trying to sleep. Neither of us can stand to have deet or other stuff smeared on our skin, but especially not in bed.
What would be the best thing to take to make sure our room is mosquito free during the night? Some spray? Candle? Coil?

    Thanks!

How about a few of these. I've found that they work well and much better than having the spray on you.

Tea tree oil works for me have been using for years. Just don't ever saturate a hanky with it and slip it against your skin for any lenghth of time as it will cause almost like a chemical burn. It is also a natural astringent, antiseptic & antifungal. I douse about five shakes to hands rub together apply around ankles especially and all over (except those special spots) as you will holla like it's hot. You can wipe residual on your hair and the scent is pleasant. Ok hope that helps happy squito fighting. Enjoy Paradise

We always keep Coleman mosquito coils burning and it works pretty well. They make a nice tin burner too that keeps them neat and safe. These are green coils, you cannot bring black coils into JA.

Thanks all! Does anyone have knowledge about keeping the mosquitoes out of the sleeping area at Rockhouse since you go outside for showers and perhaps the toilet?
Much appreciated! Respect and good travels-

Really not sure but I doubt the toilet is outside with the shower. We had an outdoor shower at Xtabi and the toilet was inside. Burn a coil in the shower area, it should keep the little buggers away.

The toilet is separated from the outdoor shower...both are entered through different doors which can block mosquitoes from entering the room. There is also mosquito netting over the beds...

We have stayed in the Rockhouse villas twice and never had a problem with mosquitoes coming in from the toilet or shower areas. We will be there next week. As Marko said above, we haven't had a problem with mosquitoes during any of our prior visits between January and May.
