When we were there last spring my husband purchased a SIM card in Negril. He had to present his passport.

That has been my experience over recent years. Apparently it is different in MoBay.

I had a sim card surprise . Upon turning on my year old phone , sim was still active , last years credit good to go . Thank you digicel

Good to know! Won't do anything in mo bay. We have a friend (16 years) in NEGRIL that my husband goes to town with. He helped us set up our unlocked phone in 2015 at Digisel.They go and get haircuts and shaves at the barber shop and go play pool and have drinks together.
