You can cash them out, buy stuff or book travel anytime, anywhere - no blackout dates. I can't remember how many points we had to use, but I do remember that it was less than what AA required and our preferred return date was unavailable. The Chase Saphire is a good choice if you travel a lot. You can find reviews and recommendations online - Best Rewards Card.
We're all in this together and none of us is getting out alive.

Outstanding card. I also like the Citi Prestige which pays for the 4th night. Great for a split stay in Negril where you can stay 8 nights and pay for six with two 4 night stays. No limit on the rate either, so you can stay at the Caves if you want, and you can also take advantage of any published rate on their site. So if they offer a 5th night free, and you get the 4th night reimbursed, you can stay for 5 and pay for 3. You just have to use the Citi concierge to book it.
