Also, I assume Alfred's puts their dock out to swim to, and that is way beyond the roped area. I use to love to swim out there butwon't anymore. John's idea is great, a buffer zone. Before most of the hotels put in swim area zones there used to be red and white buoys that nobody paid any attention to whatsoever. We used to swim far beyond Alfred's dock. Get out 100 to 200 yards offshore and we'd find sandbars that you could stand on. We used the Alfred's dock as a resting point on the way out and back.
