Kirt... I booked w/ Joe Cool but got this very disappointing message back... "So sorry but we have no regular for that day, but we could do a private for $40 one way so $80 round trip. Please let us know if you confirm."

Obviously, I cancelled. When I'm looking to save money & he advertises $30 RT, to get this notice leaves me feeling like it's a bait & switch scenario. This is one week out & he can only do a private ride for more $$$? Really? Something doesn't seem right. I'm sticking w/ Clive.

That's the cheapest I've ever seen for a private transfer. Not ideal for a single but still, noted.

It might be cheap but I didn't request a private transfer. Being on a limited income, I was trying to save money. To go from $30 for a regular/shared ride to $80 w/ plenty of notice, makes me wonder if, in reality, there are shared rides.

Once again, travel as a single ends up costing more. Of course, that is my choice :-) I'm just happy to be traveling to Negril.

Try JUTA NEGRIL - last year they were 18 dollars each way per person - it's a nice air conditioned bus that takes all Tourists right to Negril. They have awebsite where you can book, just know that they wait for everyone to land within about one hr or less you are on your way!
