All the people here seem kind hearted, and concerned about others before themselves type of people. BreanaAshlee, with what I see in your writing, photo's and pic,you should have no trouble finding an honorable man to be by your side at home and on vacation. Over 10,000 people have looked at your post. There is a reason you have many friends...

This is one thing I hate being a solo female traveller. Some people assume that I'm looking for a man and can't get one in the US. Who says I'm looking for a man to be by my side? Perhaps I'm comfortable enjoying my freedom!

Wonderful report Breana. Thank you for sharing. I'm just waiting for Snookie to make an appearance.

BrenJa, I'm waiting for the Situation! LOL

Breana I hope you had a fabulous time and it seemed as if you did! I'm a solo traveller most times and I can tell you let folks think what they want. It has no bearings on your good time! But I will be sure to try your vodka and ting drinks. Just let me know which one I should try first!

BTW: All this drama started cause someone from this board went back and repeated something to someone not on the board. Ok back to the corner I go!
    Happy holiday family time!

I'm with Goldilocks, it's always a given in the eyes of others that a solo traveler is in Jamaica for a man we can't get at home. I had a(white) man come up to me and say "It sure is nice to see a white girl with a white man". Caught me by surprise, my reply was," Im not with him, I'm with him". And pointed to the closest Jamaican to me. What a jerk! As for posting about what friends talk to us about, Im sure we all would not what our best friend to do it. And would say something to them in a different way, but we think everyone thinks in a Western mindset. Jamaicans Im sure think & react unlike we do. Look at how some reacted to TicToc's wording, she's from England and alot were judging her. It's wasn't fair to her. Ok, Im going back to the corner, too.

You have Jamaicans that handle situations with anger and you have Jamaicans that handle the same situations politely.....human nature is human nature.....doesn't matter where you were born.

    Day 8

This morning was shaky.. everytime i heard someone walk past my room i woke up thinking someone was coming to my room... i went through this for an hour or so before getting up and getting on with my day..

the first thing i did was call my mom, she had called the night before because one of the giant oak trees in our yard had fallen on to the house! She was okay though! after getting off the phone with her i got dressed and went over to cafe goa for breakfast again.. Coffee with rum cream and French toast

it was still a bit early so i didn't want to go over to iries hotel just yet so i went back to my room browsed the board for a bit, then put on my old school reggae playlist and painted my nails.. it was ladies night again after all!

Around 11 i walked down to BHV and found J tanning on the beach.. she informed me that Irie and S had gone back up to the room so i just chilled with her, talked went for a dip.. it was beautiful out!

Not too long after S came down and Rasta and his friend Avatar had come too! we sat at a table by the bar they enjoyed their red stripes and i tried to put off drinking until a little later we chatted..well they did.. i mostly sat there listening... chiming in every once in a while..

irie came down and attempted to get some sun.. but the clouds were now making their way over and it was about to rain..

i love how you can watch the rain move from one end of the beach to another!

we sat under the pavilion by the bar for a long time... it rained for a long time..

Rasta went to get us food.. it was kind of like an empanada with a barbecue dipping sauce.. you could get it with either chicken (curry), lobster (curry), or italian (vegetables).. it was very good (irie has pictures).

Irie went up an hour or so before us and napped, around 5ish i went up to her room to see if she wanted to go to the webcast at Canoe, she said yes so they got dressed while i went down to get S so she could join us.

we left for canoe around 6..

when we got there, there was a good amount of people and the band was in full effect!

we ordered a round of rum punches and various appetizers to snack on.. i had the Conch Cakes.. they were good and so was everything else i sampled!

i think i spotted PGW.. but he was leaving.. so i'll never know...

Rob came over to our table and introduced himself and told me i should put my posts back up.

we left canoe around 8:30ish maybe.. and went back to BHV... i eventually left so i could get ready for jungle...

when im on vacation i let my hair go wild and only do it like when im leaving or if im going out.. so i had to get back and blow dry my hair.. my hair is shrot now, but its still a process..

once i felt i looked cute enough i headed back to BHV to meet the girls and head out.. naturally they weren't ready but it was still early..

irie put on some music.. and flippers.. ahahaha (i'll let her tell you about that)

and while they finished getting ready.. i had a rum punch and a red stripe and chilled..

we left for jungle around 11:30.. perfect timing..

when we got there it was already pretty full.. we went upstairs first and danced i grabbed a drink and we danced and had a ton of fun..

i ran into a couple of friends and we lost S & J for a little but we found them with rasta we all hung out.. i kinda floated around and made my way back to them.. we all went down stairs.. i floated around some more and around 3ish they decided to leave ...i decided stay but i couldn't find anyone so i left and found them outside..

we all went up to mi yard... i was GONE! to say the least...

i think i had salt fish and festival and water... we went up on a roof somewhere and i layed down and looked up at the stars...

irie got me home safe and sound.. and told me to be at their room by 11 to go to blue hole...

    it was a fun night!

    Day 9

Late night and a veryyyy early morning.

I got back to my room at around 4:30AM and woke up at 9 to get ready and head over to Irie's to go to blue hole (which turned out to be roaring rivers not Blue hole in brighton)

I walked over to BHV and met up with irie, S, and J... shortly after that Kingsley and rasta arrived to take us.. we made a few stops (cambio..etc.) and we were on our way.. along the way we stopped and rasta got some veg patties for everyone and avatar joined us and then we continued...

we finally got there, paid and went on a tour of the caves.. it was beautiful.

We went swimming in the mineral water and got my skin exfoliated (i forgot with what) but afterward i felt great.. refreshed!
After we left the caves we walked around and explored went to a field.. it started raining.. but we kept going.. it was a lot of fun!

the rain eventually slowed so we headed down the other way and then it started to pour so we found shelter.. had a red stripe and waited for it to pass...

we got back to BHV around 3 or 4ish... and i went back to my room to see if i could extend my ticket shower and change..

when i got everything figured out i went back to BHV because i heard the girls mention something about going somewhere on the cliffs to watch the sunset.. Irie stayed back and we went to sunset on the cliffs... we got there just in time to watch the sunset...

we stayed there for a while.. had some drinks (i had the bartender create whatever he wanted) .. chilled and talked.. kinda just sat there looking out into the ocean.. heard the greatest song ever about "big bamboo" .. it was a good time!

when we left, no one was quite ready to go back to the hotel so we went to DeBar and had some more drinks and dinner.. i had a rum punch and jerk chicken.. it was soo good! The sauce he has for the chicken is spicy but sooooooo goood!

we went back around 10 and everyone was pretty tired from the late night before and then the early morning and tooooons of walking.. so i went back to my room.. talked to my mom and went to sleep..

it was a fun, chill day!
