Olympic Medal Math

So am I mathematically illiterate for noticing Jamaica...Mexico...etc...should prioritize medal count after education, poverty, corruption??? Just sayin'. Plenty of math will support this point!!!

Hmmmm...so much for an easygoing/nice thread!
I believe the point was simply to say, that a country with all the advantages including a much larger population such as the US produce less medals per person than a small developing island country.
