On the recommendation of the pharmacist, I bought a made in Jamaica product called Macs Calamine "D" Anti-Itch Cream last time we were in Negril. It is available at the pharmacies. It is very effective at soothing the bites and calming the itching sensation. The active medicinal ingredient is Diphenhydramine HCL. This is the same ingredient in Benadryl's product, but the Jamaican made Macs product is about one-third the cost. The Macs cream cost about $400JA for a 30g tube. Well worth it!
