Sorry...If it aint broke don't fix it??? Ivans is great for the scenery/price/service/food.....Wait staff at Rockhouse can get a bit snooty....
I felt same about Rockhouse. My best dining experience, hands down, Ivans 100 candles.
Someone please call my husband and teach him a thing or two or three.... I love him dearly though!
Congrats, and I say 100 Candles Dinner at Catcha!

You never see it coming ... and the next thing you know ... UNCONDITIONAL LOVE
I do agree with the statements about the staff at Rockhouse......but then again after always hanging with the staff at Catcha, I am clearly spoiled and also biased, because they're the best!
Some of our most romantic dinners were spontaneous. We had a long day on the beach in the sun and decided to walk up to Best in the West for a late dinner. We found the atmosphere didn't 't fit our mood so we crossed the road to IdleAwhile. We were the only ones there and close to closing but they served us a wonderful meal and we talked for a couple of hours. Nobody rushed us out but stayed on the periphery if needed. We slept well that night!
Well............decisions, decisions. I think that I have it narrowed down to the Caves and Catcha. How tough is it to get a reservation at either in early October, kinda on short notice? I would love to hear more experiences at either. Shhhhh....don't tell Cindy, it's a suprise.

If you are doing 100 candles reserve now as they only do one table per night. I don't t speak from experience but wonder about the hygiene in a cave. Bat poop and other nastiness??
If you mean a private cave dinner at The Caves I'd think it might be best to call them quite a bit ahead of time. Even though October isn't high season the Cave dinners get booked up quickly by guests staying there. Just one heads up on the cave dinner.. It can be uncomfortably warm, especially in the one cave(can't remember if its the smaller or larger one). We did the cave dinner last December while staying there, it was nice to experience and we were able to get the better cave ,but I'd have to say the meal wasn't anything special. But I suppose since you'll be paying for it(and I'll assume its $$) you will be given a choice of menu.
I will be at Catcha on Tuesday night with my wife (celebrating our 30th anniversary) staying is Sagi as a surprise I booked the 100 candle dinner for that night, report to follow. She has no idea where we are staying the first night or what we are doing. We then move to CSA for a couple of weeks, I can hardly wait. Soon Come!
