Help..my parents are coming to visit me in Negril!

I know that sounds funny but really I do need help. Last Febuary I married and moved into my Jamaican husbands home,although we live on beautiful land our house is rather small and not yet ready for guests. So that an easy problem to solve you may say because we live in a place where there are so many wonderful hotels. Well it's not so easy,my mom suffers from several back issues and recent knee surgery and it has prevented her from traveling. She is now feeling up to the trip from California to Negril to visit me,but I need a super confortable bed for her. She sleeps in a select comfort bed now and when she is here I would love for her to be a comfortable as possible. Can anyone tell me ONLY about the hotels they have stayed in Negril that have great beds! Thanks in advance and hubby and I are so excited that they are coming!.

1st, congrat's on finding LOVE!!! Wow, I don't remember a great bed in my 10 trips to Jamaica... With your Mom's back injured, it all depends on what's comfortable to her... She might like a firmer bed for support...There will be NO lack of firm beds in Negril,lol! A comfortable bed for me would be a not so firm pillow top matterss/box springs set.... The fact that she is recovering from knee surgery should not be a hindrance, as there is no shortage of flat land and 1st floor rooms available... You can choose this... Yea for your Mom!

Maybe she could bring a pillowtop type mattress pad? Bulky but lite weight.

I have stayed at several places in Negril and so far the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in was at Seastar Inn

The beds at RIU were not bad.

Other than that, I have not slept in any comfortable beds. Granted, I have only crashed at Yellow Bird and Bourbon beach (twice)

One of the most comfortable beds I have ever slept on, and not just in Jamaica, was at the Westender Inn. It was just the right balance between soft and firm. Good luck and congrats on both finding the ONE and your parents' visit!!

Instead of spending money on hotels get them to buy a new bed that will suffice give you them your room with the new bed it and then you can keep the bed when they are gone
