As a former travel agent that would be a Big surprise.Usually it is the opposite. I have actually booke a round trip I didn't need because it is cheaper than a 1 way. Then I take the unused tkt,pay the penalty but still have some value for the unused tkt to exchange in the future.Originally Posted by kaycee
I used to sit in my office and watch the agents Throw Away the unused tkt because of the term "non-refundable",,yes,they are non refundable but ??? If you have a roundtrip ticket that cost say $600..you use one way so that's a $300 leftover. You get a $100 penalty on that tkt but you STILL have a $200 credit for that unused tkt???????
