    We were in Negril last August, the week after the Dream events. From what I remember, all the places you mentioned were open. Of course - as with any time of the year - some locally run places may open or close on a whim. One night we walked to Erica's and they were closed. The next night they were open. Same with Shark's. One day he was closed early in the evening, but open later on.

    Thanks for the response -- it's good to know my favorite spots are gonna be open!

    At this point, what I'm trying to figure out is if the non-resort side of the beach (Boat Bar to town), the middle of town, and cliffs are going to be way more crowded that I'm used to during high season, and if it will have more of a spring break feel -- by that I mean more day-in and day-out parties, as opposed to the more laid back vibe I've experienced in past visits.
