Minneapolis flight

I am traveling to Negril the end of November too. Sun Country non-stop doesn't start til Dec. 20th or so. I haven't booked flight yet, am watching an American flight out of Sioux Falls, SD then hour & half layover in Chicago. Same on return. Great times. But, too spendy right now. 2 months ago, it was $582, Now $718, Just have to wait and see, hope it doesn't go higher. Does American have "mishaps"?
