Xtabi Sea Front Cottage

1 and 4 are the "best," in that they're the largest. however, they don't have air conditioning and the private verandahs have no shade.

my sister and her husband stayed in 4 a few years ago and she said the room was really hot and the loft was really dusty (they don't really ever do a deep clean on any of the rooms at xtabi) and lack of shade kept them off their verandah during the day.

is cottage 6, which is to the left of the restaurant (facing the ocean) and against the fence that separates xtabi from 3 dives. i normally would advise you to pick that cottage, but i haven't been there since 3 dives moved those prefab cottages in. i think my sister told me the 3 dives cottages are right next to cottage 6- if that's the case i would say nay.

you might want to consider renting rooms 7 and 8. they're 2 units in one building next to the restaurant and behind cottage 6, so they're set back a bit from the water, but you still get a great view and can hear the ocean. we stayed in 8 for the negril leg of our honeymoon and it was great. it has an outdoor shower that overlooks west end road, which is kinda awesome, and a large porch that overlooks the water.
