That's exactly what it is. I've had them on my 4 sets of sliding glass door here at home for 21 years, on the windows, too. Very, very small... no more than 2" long. They can probably be found online or at a big box home improvement store. Only cost a couple of $$$. I haven't seen the style I have when I looked for them a few years back but there are similar items. I'll poke around online & see if I can post a link.Originally Posted by negrilgirl

Absoutely. I think they mean it can be used to secure a partially opened slider or window.
I realize the window can be broken..but the main thing I am going for is to have notice if someone enters my room..My door alarms just let a screech and that is why I'll be using them..just so I know if someone tries to enter..and hopefully, scare them off..Realizing , of course, that the alarm is only on when I am in the room..thats why there will never be valuables in therel I think the main thing is..we all have a plan..and what ever that plan is...we relax and enjoy more!
