thank you for a great trip report! This reminded me of my first trip to Negril, I also stayed at Samsara. and paid so much money for cabs..Luckily this was back in the day when my friend who was in real estate had money...now we take jamaican taxis' or when going into a cab them the cabbie what we are willing to pay.."Can you take me up to Hi Lo for $10.00?" usually the cabbies are great and say yes..they know you are not newbies when you negotiate with them. Next time check out country country, or coco La Palm and explore the beach! and go on negril.com first and get restaurant recommendations first.
