Yum!!! Definitely a Caesar for me ...... I've always used clamato, worchestershire, tobasco, and a little dill juice to make my bloody mary's ..... but didn't know it had a different name ...

Seastar Inn has graeat Caesars. Kind of like a Bloody Mary but with Clamato Juice and we have a good supply of Clamato which is very hard to get in Negril right now.

Cafe Goa if Big Roy is still whipping them up the same way as a couple of years ago. Never ever had one so good as there--and I can say I have sampled some of the best home made and bar made from California to New York. I don't think anything could top that signature mix of pickled veggies including scotch bonnet they are loaded with. Sunday brunch there is a great thing.

    Kritter,
That's how Peggy makes a Bloody, plus the juice from the pickled jalpeno jar.
I didn't know clamato juice(?) makes it a Caesar.

Vodka & Tomatoe = Bloody Mary ..... Vodka & Clamato = Caesar .... the seasonings lead to a plethora of concoctions ...however caesaer should usually include celery ..pickle and glass rimmed with caesar salt ..at very least
Caesar invented in Canada .. clamato juice always a Canadian staple ..but little used elsewhere .. getting clamato juice in the U S of A ..even 10 years ago was all but impossible ..
FYI ... 2/3 beer 1/3 tomato juice = Red Eye ... appropriately named for those of us ..hair of the dog drinkers .. kills a hangover and induces a GREAT afternoon nap after just 5-6 servings ...LOL

I beg to differ but when I was working as a bartender back in college (class of 1963) we made a "clam digger" from tomato and bottled clam juice and the usual garnish as you describe.

Red Eye . . . another drink I've been having for years (especially if there's only light beer left in the fridge - hoho) and I didn't have a name for.

    This site is positively educational.

Add a little Tabasco for that "extra" kick ~~
