So many, some in vinettes around the house. The palm tree with carved parrots and birds in a corner of the basement, dolphins and fish swimming in front of the fireplace, a plethora of carvings and old spice bottles and cigar boxes on the screened in porch and of course bright paintings lighting up various walls.

But if I had to prioritize my Village from Fidel in the craft market is dear to my heart. Some purchased over the years, some gifted.

Even then, for the story as much as the physical, I love my Marley Birthday Bash sign and my 6 grand traffic ticket.

And what a souveneir the Pickeled Parrot sign would have been, but alas like many of the best it is only a souveneir of the mind to be shared over rum on an easy evening with friends.

I have won many awards in a lifetime of competition and service. But the highest was offered without plaque or fanfare on a hilltop in post Ivan Jamaica. A true Rasta and a dear friend observed "Chet you are like a father of men, you see need and fulfill that need without being asked". Let us be travelers and not tourist.
